BLOOD SUGAR PROFILE / ORAL GLUCOSE TOLERANCE TEST
The test is performed according to the schedule prescribed by the treating physician.
LIPID PROFILE
In the morning, fasting after a 12-hour fast.
The patient should consume a low-fat diet 2–3 days before the test.
Two weeks after discontinuing medications that affect fat metabolism.
ELECTROLYTES AND TRACE ELEMENTS, Vitamin B12
At least 10 days after the last intake of supplements containing these substances, including multivitamin complexes.
THYROID HORMONES
In the morning, without coffee or other caffeine-containing substances.
No smoking or medication intake before blood sampling.
REPRODUCTIVE HORMONES
In the morning, following a schedule depending on the phase of the menstrual cycle.
CREATININE CLEARANCE / MICROALBUMINURIA – 24-HOUR URINE
Urine collection begins in the morning; discard the first portion.
All subsequent urine is collected in a clean container suitable for measuring total urine volume.
Store in a cool place, protected from direct sunlight.
Collection ends the next day at the same time it started.
Measure the total volume, mix, and deliver approximately 50 ml to the laboratory.
STERILE URINE
A midstream portion of the first morning urine after external genital hygiene is collected.
The urine is placed in a special sterile container.
THROAT SWAB
The sample is taken in the morning before tooth brushing and oral hygiene.
EJACULATE (Semen for Microbiology)
Semen is collected after prior hygiene of the hands and penis, in a sterile container, through self-masturbation.
The sample must be delivered to the laboratory within 2 hours.
PARASITOLOGY (MORPHOLOGICAL ASSESSMENT)
Material is collected from different parts of the stool and placed in a special container.
PARASITOLOGY – PINWORM (SCOTCH TAPE TEST)
The sample is collected in the morning, before washing and defecation.
